Blackbody Spectrum
This simulation compares the blackbody spectrum of the sun to visible light. Students will learn about the blackbody spectrum of the sun, a light bulb, an oven, and the earth. They can adjust the temperature to see the wavelength and intensity of the spectrum change and view the color of the peak of the spectral curve. At the end students should be able to describe what happens to the blackbody spectrum as the temperature increases.
