The Fascists in action
At midnight (…) lorries arrived in these small towns. Inside the lorries were Fascists looking for the houses of the agricultural union leaders, and the small offices where the workers' leaders met (…). When they brought the union leaders out (...) the Fascists forced them into the lorry, where they were subjected to all kinds of humiliating treatment, and sometimes they were even given a 'pretend' execution by firing squad (…).
