Primate evolution, family ties
This presentation shows how primates, including human-beings, have evolved from a common ancestor through gibbons, monkeys, orang-utans, gorillas and chimpanzees. Students should spot the differences between these species and explain what they were adapted for. After watching the videos, looking at the pictures from the scrapbook and reading the information, the class has to list similarities between chimpanzees and humans. There are teacher's notes and a handout.
